Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and for those who Black Friday Shop I hope you were able to get everything you were looking for.
Just a few reminders of upcoming events.
Don’t forget to bring in your non-perishable food item for our Holiday Food Drive. Each item is worth $1 biker bucks. All donations can be left in the HOG’s den up until December 17th.
Our next Chapter Meeting is this coming Saturday, December 3rd, hope we see you!!
Volunteers are needed for wrapping at L-A Harley, check in with Anita and Sandra on Saturday to see which days are available to help. Always a fun time!!!
Breakfast with Santa is Saturday, December 17th at L-A Harley. Bring your family members (children, grandchildren, nieces, nephew, neighbors), the kiddos will be able to have breakfast, visit with Santa, photo’s with Santa and Christmas movies playing while you shop. Great day to get into the Holiday Spirit.
Tickets are on sale for the Holiday Party, Saturday January 7th. Cost is $20 member, $40 non member. Prime Rib, haddock and all the trimmings!! Auction, fun time with members!! Join us!! See Anita or Sandra on Saturday for your tickets.
It’s that time of year again. Memberships for 2017 are now due!
Interested in getting more involved, sign up to be a 2nd Officer. You give what ever you can and get so much enjoyment out of it. We have new Officer’s who would truly appreciate the help. So sign up at Saturday’s meeting.

First, a huge thank you to the 33 volunteers this morning. Yes, you heard it 33!!!! Love it, we might not have been busy but the friendships, family, conversations and working together was wonderful. We might have been slow because of the weather, setting up in the dark at 5:30am but you all raised $551.00 for our Chapter. Thank you!!!
Here are some upcoming rides to mark on your calendar;
Sunday, September 18th to Height of the Land, leaving L-A Harley at 10:00am and lead by Frank.
For those interested in going on the overnight to Bar Harbor ride on October 15th please see the below information from Sharlena & John.
I was able to place a temporary hold on 4 rooms at the Wonder ViewInn in Bar Harbor until tomorrow afternoon at 3 p.m (888-439-8439). They are the last 4 rooms they have available. Each room has 2 queen beds so folks could double up if they wanted to. When you call just inform them that you want to reserve one of the rooms held in my name (Sharlena Biron). They are also extending the Maine resident special for us which is $79.95 per room (plus tax).Each person will need to present a valid government issued Maine id.
For those early morning risers, there will be a ride to Cadillac Mountain to watch the sunrise!!
Just a heads up for everyone, that the amount of rooms available in Bar Harbor in just the last couple of days has dropped considerably for that date. So don’t wait too long to decide!

Below there are two sections!! Volunteers are needed for the In-Store Poker Walk at L-A Harley on August 13th from 8:30 – 11:30am. This will give those going on the Camp Sunshine ride time to leave with the ride.

Good Evening All,
I hope everyone had a good weekend. Some reminders of our rides coming up this week.
If it is raining on Wednesday we will still be heading out to dinner to the Fairgrounds Cafe in Topsham. Bike or Car either is fine. Ride leaves 6:15pm from L-A Harley.
Thank you to those woman who have RSVP’d for Sunday’s Mothers Day ride, we needed a head count on woman. If you did not RSVP to me you have until midnight tonight. (Come on ladies) Even if you do not make the cut off its ok the ride is for everyone, its the surprise that is only good for the one’s who RSVP’d. We will be leaving Sunday, May 8th from L-A Harley at 10:30am and heading to the Red Barn in Augusta for lunch. Then after that ride ends Stewart will be leading a ride to Hollywood Slots for anyone who wants to keep on riding. Let’s hope for good weather <3

Just a friendly reminder that I need to know who is planning on attending the Mother’s Day Ride on the 8th. (Only need to know the woman) If you have already RSVP’d thank you. I need a head count!! If you are waiting on the weather that is fine, but this is for a special mother’s day surprise and can only be for those who RSVP’d by Saturday, April 30th, this is the cut off date). But all are invited on the ride.

From what I understand from Bert, LA Harley will be having another black and orange event on Saturday, May 7th and Bert asked me to get volunteers for a clean up crew… According to Bert we need 4 people from 4pm to 8pm for clean up, so can you please send out a blast for the clean up crew and have them contact me. Good Afternoon Everyone on this most beautiful day. Hope you are all getting a chance to get riding in. 70 degrees on yes.
Even though we have NO MEETING IN MAY we do have some riding planned. Our first dinner ride is scheduled for;
Wednesday, May 4th leaving L-A Harley at 6:16pm and heading to the Topsham Fair ground Cafe. Lead by Jerry.
Our ride on Saturday, May 7th has been Cancelled!!!
On Sunday, May 8th (Mother’s Day) we will have a ride leaving L-A Harley at 10:30am and heading to the Red Barn in Augusta. Lead by Lorrie and Dennis. After the ride ends those who would like to keep riding, Stewart will be leading a ride to Hollywood Slots following lunch.
Now I need to have an RSVP to lunch at the Red Barn. I only need to hear from the ladies. If you are attending this ride, PLEASE let me know by Tuesday, April 26th!!!!! Just send me a quick email.

The silent auction is this Saturday, stop by and bid…… there maybe something you want.
Our next meeting in May was reschedule to the 2nd week but due to L-A Harley having a LA brewfest on the 14th and something happening every weekend we have decided to have NO MEETING IN MAY. Our next meeting will be held on Saturday, June 4th.

Happy Monday;
Well Jerry and I are off to Florida on Sunday for the month of March. He is recovery very well from his full hip surgery and I am scheduled on Wednesday for some small surgery. So why not recover in Florida? With that I wanted to update you on several things, so please mark your calendars and take a few notes. I can be reached by email at anytime while away.
First, thank you to those who cooked and served on a Saturday, your help was truly appreciated.
Next our Chapter meeting for the month March will be held on the 2nd Saturday of the month. The date will be March 12th. Please note the change!!!!
Our Ride planning Meeting is scheduled for April 2nd following the meeting. If everyone could bring a pot luck to share we could have a great meal while planning our calendar. (See Sandra to sign up for a dish). Also, please bring some new and exciting ideas for rides with you. Something new would be an added change. Let’s fill up our calendar!!!
Make sure you sign up for bowling at the next meeting. This is an open event so bring your family and friends. Great day to hang out with your children or grandchildren. (See Sandra at the meeting)
L-A Harley is hosting a Garage Party in March. LADIES if you are available to help that evening, please contact Diane at L-A Harley. This is a fun evening for the ladies and it truly is a fun event to volunteer for. Easy and appreciated.
The Chapter will be hosting another Silent Auction in April. Donations are needed to raffle off. Lightly used, not necessarily a Harley item are great also Do you have Harley parts, jewelry, clothing, etc to donate? You can bring your items to the HOG’s den anytime and just write Silent Auction on them. The more we can collect and raffle off the more money the Chapter earns.
Do you have pictures from recent happenings? Do you have an article or story you can share? If you do please send them to Sharlena at sbiron1@maine.rr.com who can share with us all in the newsletter.
Are you a past Road Captain and have a safety kit in your motorcycle? If so, could you please return it to Frank so that we may pass them on to our next set of Road Captains.

Did you miss out on that? I know 80% of you did. Our website is full of all the information you would need to know from what is happening, what you may have missed, what is coming up, forms to fill out and more. Please mark this down www.mmlhog.org and use it for reference to get all the happenings of the Chapter.
Another tool is our Hot Line. This number should be used especially during riding season as cancellations and upcoming rides are always updated. Mark this number down 207-758-0633 and call today and get all upcoming information.

Good Afternoon Everyone,
Just a reminder to the 2nd Officer’s (all those who have signed up for membership to road captain, you are a 2nd officer) the meeting is tonight at Angelo’s pizzeria, Rte 196, Lisbon at 6:00pm dinner.
Also, please note the next Chapter meeting is the 2nd Saturday of March as L-A Harley has an event on the 5th.. The meeting is schedule for Saturday, March 12 at 9:00am.
Jerry and I are heading to Florida for the month of March, those who know him know I need to get him away from cars, motorcycles, trucks etc. He needs his new hip to improve 100%. He is doing awesome Day 8 into recovery, bored as heck but up and moving. My access to the internet will be limited so I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Just a friendly reminder of our monthly meeting this coming Saturday, February 6th at 9:00am. Cindy will also be sharing information on a hotel for the ME State Rally where we can all come together at night and socialize and have some fun, so hope you can get to the meeting. I will forward the information at a later date.
Also, for all Officer’s and 2nd Officer’s we will be having an Officer’s meeting on Thursday, February 18th. We will hold it in the back room of Angelo’s Pizzeria, Lisbon Street, Lisbon. Come in and have dinner around 6:00pm and we will begin around 6:30pm or so with a short meeting. If you could please attend this would be great as we have a few things to go over. Let me know if you cannot attend
